Wild Glitters Biodegradable
💎Eco Glitter!! Scientists call for ban on glitter globally! Glitter is a microplastic made of plastic and aluminum!
Yes, glitter, like microbeads, is an ecological hazard that is found in one third of all fish, coral, and crabs!
There is an estimate of billions of microplastic particles flushed down the drain every day and 51 trillion microplastic particles in the world’s oceans.
They are found on any glittery product, and exfoliating products including toothpaste. If you need an exfoliator, make your own using salt or cane sugar! If your toothpaste contains microbeads, look for an organic one such as @miessence or @radius_usa or @drbronner.
Only seven states in the U.S. have passed legislation to restrict the use and sale of microbeads, and California is one of them.
Be sure when you buy your shower gel or other personal products they don’t contain microbeads or makeup with glitter!
Since glitter is made of plastic or aluminum, I don’t recommend using glittery makeup, especially on your lips, since it can be ingested!
To be sure that your makeup or cosmetics don’t contain plastic, check the label: they are listed as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP). During the holidays, skip any products with plastic glitter and luster knowing that you are helping the oceans, rivers, and waterways! 💎Unless you are using @wildglitterstore ecowild: the only eco-alternative glitter I found!
