I grow up hearing the marseille soap qualities. It has been always the symbol of simplicity, natural, history and tradition in Europe. By been Italian, Marseille soap has been used by our grandmother for generations!
I started to research to find the best brands offered today and…. I was chocked to see how many are using this name to sell their conventional soaps! I digging in searching more, I learnt the origucl formulation. the history, how was born, where, where the original manufacturer and check who was keeping the tradition. I discovered that many are abusing this name for the ir financial gain. Many of these modern synthetic version are sold even in the original towns in France to misinformed tourist.
I searched deeper and I finally found a certifications that guarantees the original soap versus the toxic, conventional and green washing brands!

Its composition: The soap of Marseille must be composed of vegetable oils exclusively (no animal fat). It has no fragrance, no dye, no preservatives, no additives.
Even if the market is saturated with Marseille soap if they don’t have this certification, then they are just abusing the term: ”Marseille soap.”
