Whenever I travel I always search for organic restaurants and places where I can get organic food!
Avoid greenwashing restaurants that pretend to be better, organic, sustainable, local when they are not! They will use their marketing tricks to convince you to buy their food.
Whenever I walk into a restaurant that claims to be organic and start asking questions about their menu, the answer is almost always the same: “Everything is organic.” I know that’s impossible. This usually means that the servers are either (1) trained to say that, or (2) not educated or informed about what “organic” truly means.
You will need to send the waiter or manager to the kitchen and and more details questions:
Where are your eggs from? What’s the farm’s name? Are they pasture-raised and soy-free? The same applies to beef: Is it grass-fed and organic? Most importantly, what’s the name of the ranch? Look it up online to check their claim
I once had this happen at a well-known restaurant. They told me their beef was organic and grass-fed, and even the chef confirmed it. When I asked for the ranch name and looked it up, it turned out not to be organic or grass-fed at all. These restaurants are charging premium prices for what they call “better food,” but too often, they are not!
Whenever I travel, I always look for organic restaurants and places where I can find organic food! 1 Hotel Review: I booked the 1 Hotel in Kauai, Hawaii because I wanted a more sustainable and healthier environment. I visited after the big wildfire in Los Angeles in 2025, during the winter season.
They also promised to use produce from an organic local garden to supply their restaurant. I investigated their breakfast, and I was shocked — the quality was completely conventional. Their eggs came in liquid form from the mainland USA, even though Hawaii has plenty of local eggs and chickens. The same went for their juices. I was so excited to try fresh, local guava juice, but instead, they served bottled juice that wasn’t even local or organic. I felt this was a clear case of greenwashing — a way to take our money while pretending to be sustainable. I tried to share my feedback with the managers, but I won’t be supporting their business again until they truly deliver what they promise: a better, more sustainable, and genuinely organic environment.
Their goal: an organic takeover of the fast-food industry. Totally disruptive and bold. The Organic Coup represents a new attitude about how fast-food can be good food.
