I can spot it right away in the street when someone is wearing a garment that has been washed and dried with conventional laundry products. It smells of its typical toxic fragrance like Tide!

🔎Tide laundry detergent is rated toxic: it causes respiratory issues, skin allergies, irritations, and environmental pollution! Even if Procter & Gamble tried to reduce the amount of the toxic and carcinogenic ingredient 1,4-dioxane in their Tide detergents, they have a long way to go. 

You can even smell this toxic mix of chemicals that comes from home laundry rooms when I walk by on the sidewalk. 

Many don’t realize what conventional laundry products can contain! The same goes for drying sheets which release chemical fragrances into the air.

Conventional laundry detergents contain toxic ingredients and chemicals that are cheap to produce, and harsh on us, the planet, and the environment. They are linked with asthma and respiratory damage, skin allergies and irritations, development, and reproductive toxicity, posing cancer, and environmental hazards. Studies suggest scented laundry items contain carcinogens that waft through vents, potentially raising cancer risk. “People are getting sick from the air from dryer vents,” Dr. Anne Steinemann told the Star. “A dryer vent is like a tailpipe sticking out.”

❌ 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣𝙬𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜: they may try to convince you that their product is eco-friendly, with their green packaging and false claims, such as “natural detergents” but they still contain toxic and unhealthy ingredients such as fragrances or ingredients that hurt the environment, such as palm oil, responsible for deforestation, human rights abuse, and animal orangutan extinction.

Greenwashing is when a brand pretends to be green when it is not. It is a misleading marketing tactic to make you buy their products. There are several greenwashing detergents on the market that’s why we need to have the right information that allows us to buy a better detergent to protect us, our family, our pets, and the environment. Use your nose and eyes. Read the ingredients list. Avoid fragranced products and colored liquid products.
