🌸 Doug, owner of Maui Plumeria Gardens, runs a small, family-owned business located on the North Shore of Maui with a passion for plumeria!  He collected the different scents, colors, and shapes of plumeria blooms when he moved to Maui over 20 years ago.  He has been steadily increasing his collection ever since. He has now more than 100 varieties of plumeria that he collected from all around the world! more than 400 plumeria trees on his organic plumeria farm.

All of his organic plumerias are cut fresh to order from his large, mature trees giving his customers the best possible chance of rooting success.  He sells cuttings, which are branches of the trees that you plant in soil. The cuttings are without roots or soil. They can last 6 months or more before they need to be planted … much like a seed.

Standard cutting size is 15 to 20 in and ships for $14.96 USPS priority mail or $21.50 FedEx second-day

The larger cuttings are around 18in to 20in cuttings and they are approximately $18.

2-3ft cuttings are $40 Shipping A 2ft x 1.5ft x 1ft box shipped to California is $34.50.

An almost 4ft cutting shipped is close to $65. The base of the cutting is only 3-4 inches in diameter…there aren’t roots so any large pot will work. It is harder to support a 4 ft cutting in a pot. You will probably need to stake it

An 18-inch cutting grows into a 25ft tree. It would take 7 years for them to grow into a 10 ft tree. They grow better in the ground than in pots but most of our customers grow them in pots. They have trees that are almost 7ft tall after 5 years.

The whites are all actually pretty fragrant Plumeria do go dormant in the winter losing their leaves and blooms when daylight hours are less than 12 a day

They ship to all around the world and they are certified grower so you can potentially bring them with you on the airplane: they have an Agriculture stamp that we put on our boxes to allow easy passage through the airport. In Hawaii, there is an agricultural checkpoint that everyone must go through whether you have plants or not. The cuts are collected in a FedEx box that you can bring as a carry-on when you leave. Or ask him to ship to you.
