All those packages put together travel the same distance as it would take to circle the Earth 270 times! By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, plus 18 million acres of forest are lost to the beauty industry annually!
It is up to us to pick and reward companies that are taking the extra steps to reduce their carbon footprint, resources, waste, and emissions, and to pack their products in more sustainable and environmentally-friendly packaging! 💚 When we analyze a brand, we can scan for many things. It can be their product ingredients, their performance, their sustainability, their respect for us and for nature. 🍃 Eco-friendly, plastic-free packaging is a great way to spot a brand that is doing it right. We know that not all plastic gets recycled and who wants plastic bottles leaking into our organic products and after use ending up in a landfill anyway? 🐠 Reason to not use plastic packaging:

While it is great that they are actually polluting less, we also need to check their content. Just because it is plastic-free, it doesn’t mean that it is made with safer ingredients. ❌ It is not enough to be plastic-free while still packing fragrances, colorants, titanium dioxide, unsustainable palm oil (responsible for deforestation and human rights abuse), preservatives, and other pollutants- controversial and harsh ingredients inside their eco-friendly plastic-free packaging! If you really want to offer a sustainable product, then don’t use the plastic-free trick and start honestly selling a true eco-friendly product inside and out!
