Organic Miracle-Gro Composter
I just started to compost.
🍃Composting can reduce garbage waste by up to 30%
🍃Composting can reduce yard waste by 50% to 75%.
🍃Composting cuts down on chemical pesticide and fertilizer use.
To learn the basics on how to compost I recommend this page.
to turn your waste in garden gold directly in your balcony, patio, garden, porch, or rooftop garden in just 4-6 weeks.
Choose a composter that is BPA-free, food-grade, UV-protected plastic, which means you won’t need to worry about harmful toxins, like this one.
Then there is my favorite influencer's blog: Ecological.ly beginners guide to worm composting at home. Here her tips: "Compost is made up of a combination of “browns” and “greens.” Your “browns” are carbon-based items e.g paper, cardboard, newspaper, and dry leaves. Your “greens” are nitrogen-based and are food scraps like stale bread, vegetable peelings, and coffee grounds...A balanced compost requires a 2:1 brown: green ratio...
Don’t add meat, dairy, or grease. They tend to smell quite rancid before they break down and can attract pests.
Don’t compost onions and citrus. Worms are not fans of citrus, or even slightly acidic vegetables and so I also only add small amounts of leftover tomato.
