360 Cookware

Do you know that your nonstick cookware contains toxic chemicals that are stored in our bodies?

They contain chemicals known as PFAS. They are “forever chemicals” because they don’t break down in the environment. To learn more, watch the movie Dark Waters.

99% of humans are believed to have forever chemicals in their blood. Some people are exposed at higher rates. For more information about contamination levels in your area, use EWG’s map. Also, it has been proven that nonstick pans kill birds

What can you do?

Skip Teflon nonstick pans and utensils, and look for eco-friendly, PFAS-free, PTFE-free, Teflon-free, PFOA-free, lead-free, and cadmium-free cookware brands.

Toxic Cookware

Here is what you need to avoid.

Non-stick cookware: Teflon® has a toxic coating made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). At 464°F, it may off-gas toxic particulates. At 680°F, it releases at least 6 toxic gases, including 2 carcinogens (PFOA and tetrafluoroethylene (TFE)), 2 global pollutants, and monofluoroacetic acid (MFA), a chemical lethal to humans even in low doses.

Aluminum cookware: linked to Alzheimer’s, and it can not be detoxed since it accumulates over time.

Clay cookware: Clay may contain lead and other heavy metals. I don’t recommend even clay skincare products.

Ceramic non-stick cookware: Ceramic cookware or dishes may leach small amounts of lead and cadmium into food.

Ceramic-enameled Aluminum Cookware: it may carry both risks of ceramic and aluminum cookware

❌ Thermolon: which may leach titanium dioxide nanoparticles into food.

Conventional Slow cookers: many have the California Proposition 65 warning, which means they have heavy metals, like the Cuisinart.

Greenwashing Cookware

Avoid grenwashing cookware brands that pretend to be better and safer when they are not. They will use their misleading and deceiving marketing tricks to convince you to buy their products. They claim:

HexClad $2.5M HexClad Settlement Reached in False Advertising Lawsuit Over Supposedly ‘Non-Toxic’ Cookware

Caraway: “Our coating is a non-stick ceramic, free of harmful chemicals like PTFE and PFOA.”  They don’t disclose their coating material. Caraway contains a low amount of PTFE. They don’t disclose what they use instead of PFOA and PFOS. AVOID Ceramic-enameled Aluminum Cookware

❌ GreenPan: They make their thermolon coating for their cookware in South Korea. GreenPan Ceramic non-stick cookware products are manufactured in China.

Our Place: Their sol-gel coating is proprietary, and they don’t disclose it. Our Place is manufactured in Thailand, China, and Mexico. The Always Pan item is made in China.

The Best Cookware Material

  • Uncoated Stainless steel: it is the safest option around. Composition: Stainless-steel safe cookware is usually 18/10 or 18/8.  The first number is the percentage of chromium, and the second is nickel.  There is also nickel-free stainless steel (18/0).

  • Uncoated cast Iron: you can check all the approved brands, all rigorously made in the USA, on my Cast Iron page.

360 Cookware

✅ My number one recommendation is this approved cookware brand:  360 Cookware

It makes Safer Surgical-Grade Stainless Steel cookware, made in the USA, versus major cookware brands, cheaply made in China, and many of them carry the California Proposition 65 warning.

360 Cookware’s entire collection is made with stainless steel, and it is non-stick thanks to the dry sanding process used on all of their products, which gives a non-porous surface. So now you can have it both ways, non-stick and with no chemical coatings!

This also allows for easy clean-up as well. Amazing!!

Plus, this brand has this unique feature: “spin the lip” vapor technology! You can now cook your turkey on the stovetop, which allows all the nutrients and flavor to stay locked inside, thanks to the “spin the lid” revolutionary 360 Vapor® Cooking Technology.

360 Cookware has the permits ZERO EPA, uses ZERO Toxic Chemicals, and creates ZERO Landfill Contributions. Zero Toxic Chemicals in their entire 360 Cookware and Bakeware collection, 360 Cookware offers products that are free of any harmful coatings, such as PTFE.

There are  so many reasons why this is my favorite brand:

  • Surgical Grade Stainless Steel
  • Made in the USA
  • 18/8  safer chromium/ nickel ratio versus 18/10.
  • Non-stick feature
  • 360 Vapor® Cooking Technology.
  • A large collection of cookware, bakeware, and a slow cookers
  • PFSA -free PFOA- free PTFE -free
  • ZERO Landfill Contributions
  • Promo code

MATERIAL: T-304 Surgical Grade Stainless Steel, 18/8.

18/8 refers to the % amount of chromium and nickel in the metal: 18% chromium and 8% nickel.

The outside layer (sits on the burner) is T-400 series stainless steel, which has lower nickel content and high carbon steel content to interact with induction cooktops.

Utensils to use with 360 Cookware
You can use any cooking utensils on their cookware, including wood and stainless steel. Stainless steel cooking utensils can leave marks that won’t harm the cookware, just leave cosmetic blemishes sometimes.

Conclusion:

✅  360 Cookware is an approved brand and my number one cookware brand recommendation

I have them and they look beautiful, even if it is more expensive than other brands. I highly recommend them; it is an investment, and I prefer to pay more to get a product made in the USA.

360 Cookware collection is amazing, plus my code will save you 25% off your order: PRETTYORGANICGIRL25
