Here is a quick guide on how to buy the healthiest Turkey. 

Conventional turkey: Avoid conventional turkeys, they are raised in a crowded shed, fed on a GMO grain diet, treated with antibiotics, and packed with added preservatives, and controversial ingredients such as “natural flavors.”

Conventional Factory Farms use 80% of the nation’s antibiotics and it leaches into our oil, water, and air. 

Greenwashing turkey: Avoid these misleading marketing claims  

“No Hormones” Hormones and Steroids are banned in all of Turkey and Chicken raised in America since the 1950s. 

“All Natural Turkey” claims without USDA Certification seals are meaningless.

Better Turkey: USDA Certified Organic, check the seal on the packaging! These are the healthier turkeys raised on an organic diet and they go under regular investigations.

Best Turkey: USDA Certified Organic  + Pasture-raised and local possibly to get the healthiest turkey raised outdoors with shelter, fed on a natural diet!
