Avoid conventional Candies which contain the unhealthiest ingredients, from colorants, dyes, titanium dioxide, sugar, corn syrup, bone char, and more.
❌ Corn Syrup: high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is a highly processed sweetener made from GMO corn scratch.
❌ Artificial Color: petroleum-derived, this cheap ingredient is responsible for hyperactivity in children
❌ Artificial Flavors: petroleum-derived, it hides an undisclosed mix of solvents, preservatives, flavor modifiers…
❌ Natural Flavors: not a better option, it is added to addict you to the products so you will crave it for more
❌ Vanillin: cheap artificial vanilla flavor derived from wood or petrochemicals
❌ TBHQ: synthetic preservatives responsible for harming the immune system and provoking food allergies
❌ PGPR: (polyglycerol polyricinoleate) cheap cocoa replacement
❌ Growth Hormones: found in conventional milk found in chocolate. Choose vegan or organic chocolate
❌ Bone char sugar: Bone Char Sugar is found in conventional candies, cookies, chocolate, and other candies or treats. It is refined sugar that has been bleached with animal bones, cattle, and pig bones! The animal bones are used as decolorizing and deashing agents, particularly in cane sugar, as this contains more colored impurities. Bone char possesses a low decoloration capacity and must be used in large quantities. It doesn’t sound much like a treat to me. Even though I am not vegan, this doesn’t sound yummy.
Yes, bone char is used to bleach and filter refined sugar! According to PETA: if you want vegan sugar, avoid all refined sugar; alternatives are Sucanat and turbinado, which are not filtered with bone char. Or choose beet sugar!
NOTE: 🐰 Organic sugar found in certified organic chocolate and candies doesn’t undergo this process. Certified U.S. Department of Agriculture organic sugar cannot be filtered through bone char! So always pick USDA-certified organic sugar, or even better, pick a more nutritious sweetener like the superfood manuka honey.
Avoid greenwashing candies made by brands that pretend to be sustainable, eco-friendly, or better when they are not, They will use their marketing trick to mislead you into buying their products.
❌ Palm Oil: responsible for deforestation in Indonesia and Malaysia, child labor, human rights abuses, and Orangutan extinction. Report from Rainforest Action Network. Many companies (like Nutella) use conflict palm oil under different names, such as “vegetable oil,” so be sure to read the labels!
Decide that this year, you will not give your money to large candy companies, who continue to sell large bags of traditional candies, lollipops, caramels, and chocolate, all full of additives, GMOs, artificial colors and flavors, and PALM OIL!
We have a choice, and we have power by making that choice! By buying USDA organic candies, we are rewarding responsible companies and at the same time sending a clear message to the other companies that keep ignoring the health and environmental consequences of their products!
💚 Thankfully, there are so many responsible companies making fun, tastier, safer, organic candies like these listed on this page! 🙏Your kids, neighbors’ kids, and our planet will be grateful for that!
To get the best candies available, you will need to pick USDA Certified organic candies!
USDA Certified Organic: at least 95 %organic ingredients, excluding salt and water. USDA Certified Organic foods are grown and processed according to federal guidelines addressing, among many factors, soil quality, animal raising practices, pest and weed control, and use of additives.
Organic candy companies rely on natural substances and physical, mechanical, or biologically based farming methods to the fullest extent possible. Organic products are inherently non-GMO.
💐I listed all the approved brands made without junk ingredients, but with healthier ingredients such as vegan sugar, conventional sugar is bone char animal-derived sugar, basically refined sugar is bleached with animal bones, while USDA Certified organic sugar is not.
This chocolate is the perfect gift for the holidays to indulge in a guilt-free way with your family during your Birthday and for any family gathering!

👉According to CR: Chocolate makers should survey cacao-growing areas to determine cadmium levels and favor beans from places with lower levels. 👉CR lists also the safer chocolate brand choice, and the only USDA-certified organic in the list is Taza Chocolate. ✅ Taza scored lower levels of both metals in CR tests. The company mixes beans from “different origins to ensure that the final product” has lower levels. 🌿Plus, Taza is a pioneer in ethical cacao sourcing: the first U.S. chocolate maker to establish a third-party certified Direct Trade Cacao Certification program. 🌿 Taza is perfectly unrefined, stone-ground chocolate from bean to bar at their chocolate factory, using traditional hand-carved Mexican stone mills to grind the cacao, which preserves the bright, fruity flavors of the beans, and creates yummy chocolate like no other chocolate.😋 This is one of the very few brands approved:
✅ USDA Certified Organic
✅ Direct Trade Certified
✅ Non-GMO
✅ Certified Gluten-free and Kosher Pareve.
✅ Dairy-free, soy-free, and vegan.
✨I highly recommend it!

🎄Happy Holidays! I met the owner of this American organic mint farm at a recent event in Los Angeles. ⭐️He mentioned he is third generation and his family has been growing mint for more than 70 years! 👉The synthetic and chemical industry started and the industry was not supporting his natural farm practices, they turned to cheap and unnatural ingredients! 👉 The world’s toothpaste and gum makers were switching from natural mint oil to cheaper oil sourced in Asia and using synthetic flavoring coming from abroad! 👉Ask your minty toothpaste company to support local organic mint farms instead of adding “natural flavors”. 🌿His farm still stands and he is making delicious mint treats just like his grandfather did! 👏 It remains one of the only natural and organic mint farms in the country! 💖You can find his products including his peppermint patties on Amazon or Whole Foods considered the best world’s all-natural farm-to-table mint products!

🌎 Earth Month Easter Candies In candies: Besides corn syrup, artificial colorants, char bone sugar, and preservatives, one ingredient, in particular, is also unhealthy for the environment! 🌴 CONFLICT PALM KERNEL OIL is the world’s least expensive vegetable oil, a highly processed version of crude palm oil that is commonly used as an ingredient in industrially-produced packaged foods. ❌ The palm kernel oil (conflict palm oil) comes from Indonesia and Malaysia, and it is responsible for rainforest destruction and human rights abuses. Plus, Palm kernel oil is unhealthy for the human body. 👉 It goes by many names, including Palm Kernel Oil, Palmitate, Glyceryl Stearate, and Vegetable Oil. 🔎 According to Amnesty, AFAMSA, ADM, Colgate-Palmolive, Elevance, Kellogg’s, Nestlé, Procter & Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser, and Unilever are a few Global brands profiting from child and forced labour! 👉 Corporate giants like Colgate, Nestlé, and Unilever assure consumers that their products use 'sustainable palm oil', but our findings reveal that the palm oil is anything but.
🌿Taza scored lower levels on both heavy metals in a Consumer Reports investigation! Plus, they are a pioneer of ethical cacao sourcing: the first U.S. chocolate brand to establish a third-party direct trade cacao certification program!
Not all the chocolate brands on the market have low heavy metal content. ✅ USDA certified organic (95% or more organic content) ✅ cleanlabelproject, where it is tested for purity and other contaminants, including heavy metals and plasticizers! Which is even more rigorous than CA Prop 65. With the hope of inspiring chocolate makers to test their products for purity as well, so we know when we are getting the best of the best on the market!
