🌿 Soap nuts contain saponin, a natural detergent that has been used in India for centuries. The soap nut shell absorbs water and releases the saponins which circulate as a natural surfactant in the wash water, freeing dirt, grime, and oils from clothing. Soap nuts are not nuts, but a relative of the Goji berry and are safe for those with nut allergies. Soap nuts have been used in many ways in Ayurvedic medicine and one of those is as a cure for eczema, baby eczema, and psoriasis.
