Lancaster Cast Iron is one of my favorite Cast Iron brands:
✅ Hand Made in the USA: Every one of their pans is poured, finished, and seasoned by hand in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
✅ Iconic Pour Spouts: Keeping the tradition alive, our large pour spouts make it simple to save rendered bacon grease, drain liquids, and plate tasty pan sauces.
✅ Smooth Finish: pre-seasoned and polished for a smooth finish on the interior, creating the best non-stick cooking surface possible.
✅ Light Weight: The Lancaster No. 8 skillet’s thin walls and base allow it to respond to heat quickly, getting up to cooking temperature in seconds.
They also offer approved Lancaster wooden spoons and cooking utensils hand-carved by local Amish craftsmen and artisans, made from sustainably harvested local hardwoods.

The number "8" is because Lancaster cookware uses traditional American cast iron sizing metrics dating back to the 1800s. The numbers correlate to the size of eyes on antique wood stoves as cast iron cookware and wood stoves often went hand in hand. The number 8 is traditionally a top diameter 10.5" skillet.

Lancaster Cast Iron Seasoning Oil
Cast Iron seasoning oil really helps to extend your cast iron and improve its appearance. After cooking and cleaning, you will see that it needs attention, especially if the cast iron has been too long in contact with water.
This natural seasoning oil is made with a blend of beeswax, grapeseed oil, and safflower oil. The natural wax blend allows for seasoning at high temperatures and is ideal for keeping cast iron non-stick and rust-free.
1. Apply oil all over the cookware with a cloth 2. Wipe dry with a clean paper towel 3. Place cookware in the oven upside down at 480 degrees for 1 hour 4. Repeat as needed
Lancaster beeswax in the Seasoning Oil is locally sourced from apiarists in their hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Simply wipe over the entire interior and exterior of the skillet or Dutch oven before buffing off any excess wax.
INGREDIENTS: beeswax, grapeseed oil, and safflower oil.
