Organic Night Cream

Conventional Night Cream

❌Avoid conventional night products as they contain toxic, cheap ingredients such as fragrances, preservatives, and parabens.

Greenwashing Night  Cream

❌ Greenwashing is when a brand pretends to be organic, eco-friendly, natural, or safe when it is not. They use misleading greenwashing techniques to convince you to buy their products! They will use misleading marketing tactics and claims to convince you to buy their products!

Greenwashing: Claims of “clean,” “green,” and “natural,” without certification are suspicious.

Certified organic matters because too many companies in the cosmetics industry are selling us their not-so-clean products, cheap ingredients, with a lack of transparency. That’s why we need to pick products that are certified organic by the USDA when possible. They may still use organic or natural ingredients mixed with controversial ingredients.

They may contain controversial ingredients such as:

❌ Ethylhexylglycerin:  Harmonized classification: This substance causes serious eye damage. Severe eye damage observed in animal testing.

❌ Sodium Phytate: CLP notification causes serious eye irritation. Carcinogen.

Here is the alternative:

❌Retinol: Avoid retinol products, especially fo you have sensitive skin, rosacea, or dry skin, because there is a potential risk of irritation. Retinol is a form of vitamin A that becomes an acid, this process leads to redness, peeling, and irritation. Avoid retinol products also if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. This is because retinol increases the levels of vitamin A in the body, potentially resulting in fetal retinoid syndrome (FRS)

Organic Night Creams

✅ They are made with safer, naturally derived ingredients. They are antiaging and firming using approved ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, organic nettle, horsetail, hops, and olive leaf extracts.

🌿Bakuchiol is a plant-based, naturally derived retinol alternative to help smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while sealing in hydration. It helps decrease collagen breakdown and reduce melanin synthesis, the key culprit behind dark spots and uneven skin tone. Bakuchiol is sourced sustainably from the seeds of the Ayurvedic Babchi plant.
