🌷Coronavirus: CDC recommends nonpharmaceutical practices to protect ourselves from the virus:
To boost the immune system and get stronger it is recommended to take zinc and vitamin C and vitamin D. Get plenty of sleep and drink plenty of fluids.
🌷ZINC: Cases of pneumonia may develop when the inflammation and congestion from a viral infection spirals out of control. Several studies have shown that children and adults who are low in zinc have a higher likelihood of having serious complications from the flu. At least one study found that pneumonias healed much more quickly with adequate amounts of zinc. Somewhere between 20-40% of individuals are deficient in zinc.
🌷QUERCETIN: Quercetin1 are two other widely available natural products that also show good efficacy against coronavirus and the complications it creates (bronchitis, pneumonia…)
🌷ZINC FOOD - Chickpeas, almonds, spinach, beans, asparagus, oysters, roast beef, pumpkin and squash seeds are some foods that are high in zinc.
QUERCETIN FOOD: Quercetin and luteolin are found in foods such as broccoli, parsley, artichoke, butternut squash.
🌷REDUCE INFLAMMATION: by reducing or fully eliminate gluten, dairy, sugar (and keep corn and soy low as well). These two foods, along with excess simple carbs/sugars, make up the bulk of the pro-inflammatory foods we ingest.
🌷Licorice tea: This is fantastic for “decongesting” the liver. The liver is quite important in managing immunity. Furthermore, it has some mild anti-infectious properties and helps clear mucous from the ear-nose-throat area and lungs.
🌷Ginger tea: it is considered a “heating” plant, which clears “dampness” from within the body. It turns out that ginger boosts cortisol production which is necessary to mobilize white blood cells in the face of an infection

🌷Eucalyptus: it breaks up mucous, opens the airways, and fights viral and bacterial infections. If you are planning to inhale this oil, please make sure to purchase the radiata subtype, as the globulus can be rather irritating to the airways. The study here
