Organic Floss

🍃Every plastic pick you’ve used up until now is still somewhere in a landfill!

Millions of plastic floss ends up in our landfills every year. After a quick use, they are tossed, and they accumulate in landfills and waterways.

Avoid Conventional Floss

Most floss is produced in China, made with PFAS, plastic, synthetic, toxic, polluting material that is highly dangerous to wildlife and sealife: Nylon! Conventional floss creates microplastics that are responsible for harming fish and other sea creatures.

Plus, they contain preservatives, artificial sweeteners, GMOs, unnatural coloring, phthalates, parabens, or other harmful additives.  Artificial colors, Artificial flavors, Petrochemicals, Microcrystalline wax, Fluoride.

Nylon is a petroleum-derived ingredient invented by Dupont, the same manufacturer of Teflon! “The world’s first synthetic fiber was the petroleum product ‘Nylon 6,’ discovered in 1935 by a DuPont chemist who produced the polymer from chemicals found in oil.” Manufacturers include a range of chemicals in the wax, including

❌ Perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) are used to help the floss glide more easily between your teeth.

Polyester: petroleum-derived and microplastic

Avoid Greenwashing Floss

Some brands are aware that consumers are more sensitive to picking floss that doesn’t endanger animals and wildlife species, so they come up with their deceiving version: greenwashing floss!

A greenwashing  floss made by brands that pretend to be eco-friendly, sustainable, and natural when they are not! They will use misleading and deceiving marketing tricks to convince you to buy their products.

Avoid greenwashing floss made by brands that use:

Recycled polyester: sourced from plastic water bottles. Even if it is made with recycled plastic, the final product is still plastic. These brands, if they wanted to be truly eco-friendly, should come with real biodegradable material. I wish they could find a better alternative!

Recycled Nylon: It is still nylon that can harm the environment. If they wanted to be truly eco-friendly should come with real biodegradable material.

HydroxyapatiteNano Hydroxyapatite is banned in Europe. It is not FDA-approved!
