LA Organic Farmer's Markets

Here you will find my favorite and best farmers’ market in the Los Angeles area.

Los Angeles boasts a vibrant farmers market scene, with several standout markets offering everything from organic produce to artisanal goods and a strong sense of community.

The weather in Los Angeles going at farmer’s ameket makes for a fun event all year round.

Not only will you get the freshest produce that you won’t find at the grocery store, but you will also have the chance to ask questions directly to the producers, plus you are supporting the local economy while cutting down on long-distance transportation for many products offered in big grocery stores, which are also sourced from outside the country.

Organic Farmers Market Certification

For organic products, you need to search for the vendors who display the USDA-certified organic certification. Often they have displayed in the booth; if it is not there, then ask them if they are USDA certified organic, and they may show you their papers.

My favorite Los Angeles Farmer’s Market Vendors

My favorite locations are:

  • Beverly Hills
  • Merlose Place
  • Brentwood
  • Santa Monica

Sometimes I even find the same vendors.

When shopping at the Farmer’s market, don’t forget to bring with you plenty of organic tote bags, which protect your organic products and delicate products from chemicals,  reduce plastic use, and waste.

Pick certified organic cotton tote bags:

GOTS Certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard: it monitors the entire production process, including growing, harvesting, spinning yarn, weaving/knitting fabric, and sewing bags. Unprocessed cotton brings additional benefits to our health and environment by avoiding highly toxic pesticides, fertilizers, and bleaches used in regular cotton crops.
