Organic Linen Sheets

There are a few very powerful individuals who take advantage of something that is shared with the rest of humanity for their own interest and that is the planet! 🌎

They make cheap products, made with toxic materials, pollute the environment, exploit the labor, and then sell these to us!

Conventional Linen Sheets

Avoid conventional linen sheets:

❌ Conventional linen: sprayed with pesticides that pollute the world, harming the consumers and the workers and made with toxic conventional dyes.

Greenwashing Linen Sheets

Avoid Greenwashing linen sheets made by brands that pretend to be organic, eco-friendly, natural, or safe when it is not. They use misleading and deceptive marketing tricks to convince you to buy their products!

There are many greenwashing bed sheet materials that they want to sell to you as eco-friendly when they are not!  The terms ‘sustainably made’ or ‘eco-friendly’ are not regulated.

❌ Avoid Greenwashing linen: Even if they claim “organic” or “natural” cotton, if they don’t display the GOTS-certified seal, they may have something to hide.

We can either wait for the institutions to act to protect us, or we can take action now with our wallets to change the system. We can start now to protect our health and the health of the planet by not feeding the wallets of these toxic and extremely wealthy companies.

While some keep intoxicating us and the polluting world, it is up to us not to feed this unsustainable system.

How? Here is how not to get greenwashed by the clothing and textile industry and what you can do:

Certified Organic Linen Sheets

When choosing organic linen sheets, it is important to check that they carry the right certifications !

These certifications guarantee that it is truly organic and made with no toxic process, and that pushes the brands apart from the greenwashing ones that claim “organic” without showing the certification! To be sure that is truly organic and not greenwashing, you will need to find these certifications seal on the box, packaging, or label.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS): is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, including ecological and social criteria. was created to set criteria for how fibers and textiles must be ginned, knitted, woven, dyed, manufactured, and labeled. GOTS Certified Organic Cotton is held to a stricter standard; it is responsibly and sustainably grown without pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.
