I have been dealing with Edema and specifically with Heat Edema

It makes my feet and ankles very swollen in the evening and night, they are so puffy that  is so challenging to even wear shoes

they looks like someone else feet!

So I have been learning how to address this condition naturally

The Best Natural Remedies for Edema

First go to your doctor to check if there any other underline conditions!

Other conditions are High sodium intake, prolonged sitting or standing, pregnancy, or physical trauma.

In my cause it was trigger during the summer, the hight temperatures would make my fluids collect all to my ankles and feet.

Keeping them cool was helping, elevation is important

Anything that support lymphatic system, such as a experienced lymphatic massage

Reducing salt intake, I often eat out so I was bombarded by salt

Eliminating the salty chicken brith that I was taking every morning along with electrolytes drink

  • Dry Brushing: Using a natural-bristle brush in light, gentle strokes toward the heart (starting at the feet and moving up) stimulates lymphatic vessel flow near the surface of the skin.
  • 🍉 Organic Watermelon: my lymphatic therapist recommended me to have watermelon. Watermelon is a classic, natural remedy for mild fluid retention (such as heat edema) because of its unique combination of high water content, mineral balance, and natural bioactive compounds. It has of high water content and potassium acts as a gentle, natural diuretic. Have a 1 to 2 cups of fresh, cubed watermelon per day
  • 💦 Purified water: purified water—especially from Reverse Osmosis (RO)—has significantly lower salt (sodium) and mineral content than typical tap water. drinking water or consuming high-water foods helps reduce fluid retention. If you are dehydrated, the body retains excess fluid as a defense mechanism. Hydrating well signals to your kidneys to flush out excess sodium and fluid through urination.
  • Magnesium: Adequate magnesium intake (or topical Epsom salt
  • Leg Elevation: with organic wedge pillow or reclined massage table
  • Compression Therapy: Light compression garments provide steady external pressure, preventing fluid from leaking into extracellular spaces during prolonged sitting, standing, or warm weather.
  • Movement (Calf Muscle Pump): Ankle pumps, walking, or gentle cycling engage the calf muscles, which act as a natural mechanical pump to squeeze veins and push fluid upward.
  • Contrast Therapy & Hydrotherapy: Using Shower filters. Alternating warm and cool water on the legs (e.g., during a shower) helps stimulate blood vessel contraction and dilation (vascular pumping).
