Eco-Luggage

The Best Eco-friendly, Non -toxic, Sustainable Luggage

Here you will find the best eco-friendly, non-toxic luggage on the market made by responsible brands with sustainable materials.

🌱I don’t feel comfortable putting my clothing in luggage made with material that is associated with cancer warnings from California Proposition 65.

Instead choosing an eco-friendly suitcase, and carry-on luggage not only protects humans but the planet as well.

Conventional Luggage

❌ Avoid the majority of luggage made with the cheaper PVC material, which is highly toxic and non-recyclable. Luxury luggage is typically priced high as well ranging from $700 to over $1,000 USD for a carry-on, using lower quality materials that are toxic to us and the environment!

Greenwashing Luggage

❌ Avoid greenwashing luggage made by brands that pretend to be sustainable, and toxic when they are not. They will use marketing tricks to convince you to buy their products.

Many of you have seen the label attached to new luggage with the California Proposition 65 Warning stating:

“This product contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.”

A typical reseller will try to convince you that all the luggage on the market has it, so you can’t really escape from it, trying to sell the piece to you…..well, I searched everywhere and I found a few great pieces of baggage that don’t have it! Yayy!

Approved Sustainable Luggage

You will find the most sustainable luggage and carry-on bags made by great brands below!

Sustainable luggage brands use recycled, recyclable, or natural materials. They make extra effort to reduce carbon footprint and respect the workers.

✅ Materials: 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, linen, Rattan, Flax or Linen, Pasco Fiberboard, vegan and vegetarian leather, recycled material, recycled plastics, fabrics made from recycled water bottles, and recycled aluminum.

✅ Linen: renowned for its natural beauty and durability. Made from fibers of the flax plant, linen is one of the oldest textiles in the world.

✅ Rattan: is a sturdy vine-like plant native to Asia, Africa, and Australia. Often woven into a wicker weave, rattan is at once lightweight and incredibly durable.

Chrome-free Sustainable Leather: This means less pollution, cleaner waste streams, and improved biodegradability.

Recycled Bonded Leather: low-waste option, often called “recycled leather,” as it is created by bonding smaller pieces of leather together before stretching them over a fiber sheet.

✅ Pasco fiberboard: a versatile Japanese fiberboard, made with wood pulp and recycled paper. A water-resistant, durable, pliable, and environmentally-friendly material. This durable but lightweight material is formed of paper and wood pulp, specially bonded and then compressed. There is “give” or flex in the fibreboard so especially on the larger items like the Spinner, it seems like it moves easily. This is to absorb the jostling it will receive in transit and be able to accommodate the items that go inside.

Aluminum Suitcase: is known for its durability and recyclability. It is designed for long-lasting use, reducing the need for replacements.

Long-lasting: repairable materials to give you Luggage for Life.

Shipping materials: 100% recycled and recyclable materials
